Thank you Grapevine, Texas. I thank all the people in this desirable community who took time to engage in conversation and become a signatory to my petition to be placed on the Republican primary election ballot for Texas' 24th Congressional district election set for March 03, 2020.
Grapevine is a happy place to live, visit, and play. History is present every where you look in this community. Through time, myself and countless people have walked her neighborhoods (my case seeking engagement with registered voters); enjoyed rest & relaxation at her parks; exercised at her recreation center and-or biked her streets or paths; eaten at one of many wonderful restaurants; enjoyed her lake to power boat, jet ski, sail, or a casual stroll/visit to one of the marinas; view the annual Christmas parade (I've actually been in the parade for a few years due to Indian Princess organization); ... annual Christmas events at the Gaylord; ... festivals; and so much more.
Speaking of Lake Grapevine, did you know the River & Harbors Act of 1945 "... among many projects, provided for the construction of Benbrook Lake, Grapevine Lake, Lavon Lake and Ray Roberts Lake, ... modifications to existing Garza Dam for construction of Lewisville Lake ..." (information on wikipedia)? This is a small part of an elected official's job, like the congressional seat I am seeking. Communities and their citizens, myself and millions of people, have enjoyed the benefits legislation like this Act have gifted.
I am well suited to represent Grapevine's most valuable resource, her people. Experiences like my Political Science education at Texas Christian University where I graduated in 1992; 28+ years as a Realtor within Dallas - Fort Worth (Metroplex); family and many friends who have enjoyed life in Grapevine and the surrounding areas have aligned me with the people of this nice community.
A beautiful monument near Grapevine's train station (trains had a monumental influence on Grapevine's growth through time, different story at another time) pays honor to our past & present heros. Imprinted on one side is "Love" & "Character." The other side, seals of the Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Air Force, Army, and Navy, ... War with Mexico 1840's, Civil War 1860's, Spanish American War 1898, WWI 1910's, WWII 1940's, Korean War 1950's, Vietnam War 1960's, and Persian Gulf War 1991. Grapevine and her people have respectfully contributed to the greater good. If honored by the voters to be District 24's next congressional representative, with love & character (as displayed on the monument), I seek to emulate the many examples of Grapevine's citizens.
I knocked on countless doors and more. I listened as various people spoke. I caught a dog as he muscled his way through me at one door. By way of the petition engagements for ballot access, each Grapevine person welcomed me with respect and a handshake.
Thank you for speaking with me and-or volunteers during September & October & November, as a Republican candidate for Texas' 24th Congressional District, US House.
I am in alignment with your city & her people's commitment to honor the past and provide a dignified present.
I humbly ask you to please support and vote Jeron Liverman For Congress on March 03, 2020, in the Republican primary-election.
I treasure your valuable time. If it is important to you, I will listen. I appreciate the energy every city and her people have to offer.
I give thanks to all. The people I meet each day inspire me by their support to continue on this political journey.
